Privacy Policy

This is an English translation for convenience; the German version is legally binding.

1. Controller

2. Data we process

• Account data: email address and (optional) name you enter when signing up
• App content: tasks, day plans, habits and journal entries you create in the app
• Settings: wake/sleep times and week start are stored with your account so they are the same on all your devices. Other preferences such as notification times stay on your device
• Subscription status: whether you have an active DoStreak subscription (product, term, trial). We never receive your payment data — payment is handled entirely by Apple
• Device data (anonymous): crash reports via Sentry — without personally identifiable information. Anonymous usage statistics via PostHog — you can turn them off at any time in the app (Settings → Share anonymous stats)

3. Purposes

• Providing the app's features and syncing them across your devices
• Verifying and managing your subscription (RevenueCat, Apple)
• Sending emails for sign-up and password reset
• Crash analysis and bug fixing (Sentry)
• Improving the app through anonymous usage analytics (PostHog, can be turned off)

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) for your app content, account data and subscription status, and on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a stable app and in improving it) for anonymous crash reports and anonymous usage statistics. You can object to the usage statistics at any time in the app under Settings → Share anonymous stats.

5. Processors and third parties

• Supabase Inc. – database hosting, server location Frankfurt (EU). Privacy policy
• Sentry (Functional Software Inc.) – crash reporting with anonymised error reports. Privacy policy
• PostHog Inc. – anonymous product analytics, EU endpoint. Privacy policy
• RevenueCat Inc. – subscription management. A random user ID and the subscription status are transferred, no payment data; processing may take place in the USA (EU Standard Contractual Clauses). Privacy policy
• Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) – sending account emails (confirmation, password reset). Privacy policy
• Apple Inc. – payment processing (in-app purchases), app distribution and optional Sign in with Apple. Privacy policy

6. Retention

Your data is stored as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the app under Settings → Delete account, completely and irreversibly.

Your history (for example past days, completed tasks and journal entries) is kept as long as your account exists. If you have not signed in for 12 months and have no active subscription, we will notify you by email in advance and delete your account and data 30 days after that notice, unless you sign in again in the meantime.

8. Security

All data transfers between the app and the server are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Supabase uses Row Level Security (RLS), so every user can only access their own data.

9. Children

DoStreak is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes

We will inform you about material changes in the app or by email. The current version is always available at this URL.
